Considered as a work of art, Golden Bridge (Cau Vang) in Danang has attracted a big number of both domestic and foreign tourists since opening to the public in June 2018. People come here to see and take a photo with a novel piece of architecture famed for its unique design.
The shimmering bridge is held up by two giant concrete human hands above the clifftops. In the midst of the forest, the bridge stands out in yellow and looks like a golden silk trip hiding in the clouds of Danang. Especially, the hands look aged and weathered as if they have been there for centuries. “We designed the skeleton of the hands and covered them with steel meshes. Then we finished with fiberglass and added the theming on it”, a representative of the company told Bored Panda.
This amazing bridge was designed by TA Landscape Architecture and took about one year to construct in order to evoke “the giant hands of Gods, pulling a strip of gold out of the land”. The 150-meters-long bridge with 8 spans stands more than 1,400m above sea level, offering infinite spectacular landscape. “It creates a walkway in the sky, among the foggy and fairy-like lands of Ba Na mountain”, said Vu Viet Anh, design principal at TA Landscape Architecture. Besides, Lobelia Chrysanthemum is planted along the pathway on the bridge, creating a focal point of color, attracting the eyes of visitors.
