ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi Arrival Welcome Dinner
Xin Chao! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam’s charming colonial capital. After clearing your immigrations and picking-up your luggage, meet your driver and guide who await for you outside the arrival hall. A short drive will then take you to your hotel city center.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance of a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia's wet-rice culture - followed by a welcome dinner at one of Hanoi's lovely restaurants.
Meals: Dinner.
Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning you start a full day to explore the most highlights of our capital. Your city tour will take you to Hanoi’s key sites: the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and stilt house), the nearby One Pillar Pagoda; the Presidential Palace; the Temple of Literature.
In the afternoon, visit the fascinating Ethnology Museum (closed Mondays), which is both a research centre and a public museum exhibiting the ethnic groups of Vietnam. At the end of the afternoon, visit Hanoi’s Old Quarter. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around.
Meals: Breakfast.
Accommodation: Hotel in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi Halong Bay Overnight on cruise
A perfect way to enjoy your honeymoon in Vietnam is to sail along the waters of Halong Bay. As you cruise along, enjoy the panorama of beautiful forested limestone cliff formation, and emerald waters along the way. Rare and specialized itineraries allow you to experience less traveled routes that other cruises simply cannot offer. Orchid Cruises house 14 luxury cabins with an elite, professional crew that will provide you with the best service for your honeymoon holiday in Halong Bay! Nothing is more enjoyable than kayaking on the vast sea, and exploring the natural beauty of many islets. Moreover, you will also have a chance to join our cooking class to challenge your skills in preparing a very famous Vietnamese dish.
After breakfast, meet your driver at the lobby of hotel then spend just about 2 hours on one of Vietnam’s the most modern highways and South East Asia's longest cross-sea bridge to Cat Hai Island in Hai Phong City where your 5 star cruise awaits for you.
12h15: Welcome aboard! Enjoy welcome drinks while you receive the cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in. Start cruising and explore Halong Bay – one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.
12h40: Your Orchid Cruise proceeds to Da Chong islet where you will see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago. Enjoy lunch on cruise before continuing your journey via the islets of Duck (Con Vit) and Gia Luan. These amazing limestone karst formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. This area is untouched due to being a fair way from Halong City, not so many tourist boats venture here, meaning it has a more isolated appeal.
14h45: Progress to Ba Trai Dao beach area of Lan Ha Bay, a separate part of Halong Bay. Geologically, Lan Ha is an extension of Halong Bay but sits in a different province of Vietnam. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty with about 400 fascinating karst islands and limestone outcrops. Unlike Ha Long Bay, the islands of Lan Ha Bay are forested, and most are small in stature. The region is known for its pristine beaches and spectacular beauty with about 400 fascinating karst islands and limestone outcrops. Alternatively, you may prefer to try kayaking or simply just enjoy a swim. This is a great experience, immersed in the crystal clear waters of the bay, in the Ba Trai Dao area (this itinerary runs between the months of April and November).

Step by in time as the lives of the fisherman have changed little.
10h30: Admire incredible stalactites and stalagmites in Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Then return to the boat for lunch.

8. What type of food is typical of Vietnam?

Vietnamese cuisine is quite varied from the North to the Centre and to the South, having had many external influences over the years that have created an interesting mix of cooking methods and ingredients. French presence in the recent past has led to the assimilation of French cuisine influence, and is often attributed with Pho noodle soup's rise to popularity. Most meals include rice, as well as fish sauce which is a popular condiment added to almost every meal throughout the country.

You just need to share us your request on type of foods, we will choose a right restaurant and order suitable menus for you.

Our Vietnam Honeymoon tours utilize a variety of primarily private transportation (arranged just for two of you) including new and modern vans/ cars, motor boats, etc. We use a mix of private (vans/ cars)/ public transportation (domestic flights, sharing cruises, trains) to provide you with the safest and most efficient transit in each area.

Our travel consultants and stationed tour guides can give you some ideas about the romantic places in each city you stay.

13. Do you do "familymoons"? We need to take our children with us but also want to have a romantic honeymoon experience.

The world is pretty much split into those who have children and those who do not. But the familymoon is a wonderful opportunity for all family members to spend time together and form those important new bonds. For us, the important factors to consider are going somewhere that you feel confident and comfortable to leave your little ones in the hands of the hotel for a few hours so that you can steal a few romantic hours together… but also to feel that you can spend great time together as a family too. We recommend you to book a package with upper hotels/ resorts where provide "children zone with toys". Why don't contact our travel consultants to get further information if you are planning for your "familymoon" now?

14.When travelling for Honeymoon is it mandatory to have the spouse name in the passport?

This is not a compulsion. Visa can be applied for with Marriage Certificate. But if you/ your wife change your/ her passport, please update the newest to our travel consultants.

This tour only includes domestic flights. We find that it is usually less expensive for travelers to book these separately and this also allows you the flexibility to choose the schedule and routing that is most convenient for you. You can purchase international flights on your own, or we can certainly help you arrange these flights with an airfare consolidator who specializes in international flights.
