Citizens of Spain can travel to Vietnam without a visa up to a maximum of 45 days, inclusive of dates of entry and exit. In case, you want to stay in Vietnam more than 45 days, you must apply Vietnam visa in advance. The first option to obtain Vietnam visa for Spanish citizens is to get a Vietnam Visa on Arrival which has been preferred by a lot of travelers around the world for its convenience, simplicity, fast processing and time saving. This type of visa only works when you arrive by airplane to any of 3 international airports in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang.
With these option, you need to apply online to get a visa approval letter beforehand. When arriving at Vietnam airports, you need to show a hard copy of approval letter, a passport size photo and stamp fee at Visa on Arrival counter. It is so simple and just take you few minutes to get visa done.
Starting from August 15, 2023, the Spanish citizens will be able to enter Vietnam without a visa and stay for up to 45 days. This is a result of the new visa policy that Vietnam has implemented to attract more tourists and promote cultural exchange.
Citizens of Spain can apply for a visa to Vietnam in 3 different ways:
1. Apply for a visa to Vietnam through a travel agent in Spain or through an online visa processors. The process and fee for Vietnam visa may vary by each agent mentioned above.
2. Apply for a Vietnam visa in person at the nearest embassy of Vietnam in Spain. Kindly be advised that the procedures and fees are subject to be changed depending on where you apply.
3. Apply for a visa on arrival to Vietnam from Spain online (Note: It is available for traveling to Vietnam by air only).
1 - One-month Single-entry Visa: 15 USD.
2 - One-month Multiple-entry Visa: 30 USD.
Note: - The above rate does not cover the Visa Stamp Fee, which must be paid at the arrival airport to immigration officers: 25 USD Single Entry or 50 USD Multiple Entry.
Another way is to come in person to Vietnam embassy in Madrit and you will be instructed step by step on how to apply for a Vietnam visa there. The visa procedure and visa fee may vary from embassy to embassy and it normally takes you at least 3 working days to get your Vietnam visa.
