Ban Gioc Waterfall is one of Vietnam’s most impressive natural sights. Located in the northeastern province of Cao Bang, the falls are 30 metres high and 300 metres across. Ban Gioc is the largest waterfalls in Vietnam with 30m height and 300m width. The falls occur on the Quay Son river, a beautiful jade-blue body of water, flowing through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves, surrounded by limestone pinnacles.
Located in a remote region of northern Vietnam near the Chinese border, Ban Gioc Waterfall is actually a series of gorgeous waterfalls and pools. It’s tucked away in an enormous lush, green valley. At nearly 1,000 feet wide, it’s the fourth-largest waterfall on Earth.
Visitors may be impressed by three magnificent levels divided by rocks and trees, the natural scene of sharp and tooth-like limestone mountains, and clean and transparent jade-blue water under majestic white falls.
Another hypnotic sight in Ban Gioc waterfall is the obscurity of drifting clouds vapored from water spray of the cascades.
To reach the base of the falls for better view, visitors have to pay 50,000 vnd ($2) for bamboo rafts punting them there.

Best time to visit: You can visit the waterfall at any time of year but September and October are the best time to visit with beautiful landscape of rice fields and less rain.
