Accor Hotels, the largest international hotel operator in Vietnam with 6,101 rooms across a wide range of brands, will open another 13 hotels all over the country in the next two years, bringing the total portfolio to 41.

The two new sea-facing properties - Mövenpick Resort Van Phong and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Halong Bay - intended to open in Q4 of 2021.

Regarding to Patrick Basset, COO for Accor Hotels Upper Northeast & Southeast Asia and the Maldives:

Accor Hotels currently has 28 properties ranging from economy to luxury brands across Vietnam. According to the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s (UNWTO) report, Vietnam was listed among the destinations with the highest annual increase in international tourist arrivals at 29.1%.

In the first six months of 2018, the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam increased 27.2% compared with same period in previous year to 7.9 million. In July, the Vietnamese government approved visa waiver for tourists travelling from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy for the next three years until June 2021 which is expected to welcome more foreign tourists to Vietnam.

Mövenpick Resort Van Phong is located on a unspoiled coast just 80 miles from Cam Ranh International Airport. Mövenpick Resort & Spa Halong Bay is located in Ha Long bay - the UNESCO World Heritage site. It consists of 325 rooms. The resort has two restaurants, a rooftop pool and lounge that overlooks the spectacular views of Ha Long bay. It also features a spa and a fitness center. A 300-seater ballroom and a selection of meeting rooms is really a good choice for MICE

The two new hotels Mövenpick Resort Van Phong and Mövenpick Resort & Spa Halong Bay will add 525 rooms to the group’s growing portfolio in the region.
