The temple was designed backrest into the temple mountain, the façade facing the Bac Ha cultural center market, for a distance is the mountain Ba Me Con like to protect the whole region population. The temple now is the new temple which was reconstructed on the old ground by the house collapsed incident since 2003. Until now, the temple has been renovated and completed overall architecture.
The festival is held at Bac Ha temple on 7 July (lunar month) to commemorate the death day of the hero Gia Quoc Cong Van Mat Vu. This is really a big party for the local people and visitors to worship the hero who has contributed to the country. During the festival, there are many cultural activities and sport such as arts, tug, Chinese chess, folk games, cockfighting, dance and so on.
Bac Ha temple is located about 100km from Sapa town. You can get there by car which takes you around 3 hours. This is one of the interesting attractions in Bac Ha you should not miss.
