Ha Giang is about 300km from Hanoi center. It is possible to use a night sleeper bus from Hanoi and arrives Ha Giang town next day in the morning. Another option is by night train from Hanoi to Lao Cai and then you take the local bus to Ha Giang town. The fare is about $10-$15 per way.
